Trenton Foster | Owner & Manager
I was born in West Hills, CA in December of 1988 and raised in La Canada Flintridge. From an early age, I developed a real love for and skill with LEGO® bricks and became an avid collector and constructor, even referring to myself as a “LEGO® Maniac.”
I loved making different characters, vehicles, and ships for such brands as Star Wars, Bionicle, Indiana Jones (before they even had Indiana Jones sets), and many others. One set I built for Indiana Jones (featuring him teaming up with the Hardy Boys) was entered into a local contest sponsored by the LEGO GROUP.
In 2005, I took my LEGO® skills to a whole new level when I embarked upon my first stop-motion film. Nine months of solo animating and editing later, I proudly unveiled my 7-minute masterpiece: Star Wars - The Wookiees Triumph. This led to a greater interest in the study of film, voice acting, computer graphics, and screenwriting.
Things stayed pretty quiet on the LEGO® scene until 2008, when I was hired by Tinker Tank to teach a series of LEGO engineering and robotics classes, and I knew I had found my calling.
Now I run my own series of LEGO® engineering classes under the name Imagine-It Kid, and am having the time of my life! In addition, I’ve worked with a great group of kids to finish our first LEGO® stop-motion class film, and I’m looking forward to expanding my animation skills in the future.
I want to share with all sorts of kids the fun and excitement I’ve had messing around with these colorful little plastic blocks. So to all you LEGO® Master Builders out there, keep building and using your imagination! You never know where it’ll take you!

I was born in May of 1988 and moved to the beautiful city of Simi Valley at the age of 4. I love to be creative, whether it be through cooking, sewing, writing, or my favorite activity, dance.
I have been working with the Simi Valley Unified School District for six years plus as an Instructional Aide. I work with children who have learning disabilities and other developmental disorders. I find great joy in seeing the progress the little ones have made through the school year; even moving on to a general ed classroom. I'm honored I can be a part of their progress and achievement.
I pride myself in having great patience and a calm attitude. I try to be positive and encouraging, especially under stressful/frustrating situations. I believe in letting children experiment with their creativity.
When I heard about Imagine-It Kid, I was interested in it right away. I think it's a fantastic idea to teach kids about engineering and robotics. They get to play with LEGO's and learn a little science. The best way to trick a kid into learning!
Jessica Matsui | Kindergarden & Engineering Instructor
My name is Jessica Matsui. I was born and raised in Simi Valley and attended local schools in the Simi Valley School District. In my childhood I enjoyed playing with Legos with my brother. We would build elaborate space stations and scenes, using our imagination as our guide. To this day I have taken my background of creativity and expanded it into art where I also work as a graphic designer. I strongly believe that if you treat others with respect and kindness that they will reciprocate. Having this belief as a teacher helps to maintain a friendly, positive relationship with my students and co-workers.
